Happy Tree DevBlog #2

Hello everyone, Andrey is in touch, this is my second devblog dedicated to the game Happy Tree Friends: Killing for Love.

Due to the large backlog of studies, I didn't have much time to work on the game. Nevertheless, the process does not stand still. Today I would like to tell you more about the endings in the game.

The game will have absolute freedom of choice of actions. All possible options are being considered, from going to a computer club with Giggles, to going to a restaurant with Petunia and Handy (you can see some options in the photo on the game page). And of course, depending on your choice, the game will have a different ending. Below is a list of reasons why a particular ending can be good or bad:

- the bad ending is that the main character of the game is dead.

- the good ending is that the main character survived.

- the best ending is that the negative consequences are minimal.

There is also a true (aka secret) ending. To get it, you will need to perform a number of non-obvious actions, however, I guarantee you that when you play, this ending will definitely surprise you.

As you probably guessed, there will be a lot of bad endings in the game, and all of them are not built according to the standard "He killed me, I died" scenario. Even the bad endings in the game will be unusual, with additional actions. As for the good endings, there will also be several in the game, with various variations. For example, "I survived, but everyone else is dead," or "I survived, but I was badly hurt, but the rest are alive," and so on. But the true ending is the real highlight of the program, or rather the game. I'm not going to spoil it, but I will say that in it you will see characters not from the series.

Finally, I'll say a few words about the music in the game. I'm not much of a composer (at least not yet), so you'll hear the original themes of the series in the game, but I've found quite a few original and unusual soundtracks that I think will fit perfectly into one moment or another of the game, making the game more atmospheric.

That's it, dear friends. Sorry that the post is not so long today, I have a lot of studying to do. However, next week, I will try to make trial character sprites in the well-known Scratch program and then write a corresponding post. In the meantime, thank you for reading, Andrey was in touch, see you soon.
